อยากพูดถึงภาพนี้เพราะยิ่งดูยิ่งตื่นเต้น
นี่มันคือภาพสแนปช้อตของชิวิตคนในศตวรรษที่ 21 จริงๆ ภาพตรงหน้าสามารถเป็นฉากที่มาจากหนังเกี่ยวกับโลกอนาคต มีโปสเตอร์คลาสสิคของนิตยสารวานิตี้แฟร์ฉบับเดือนสิงหาคมปี 1925 ติดไว้ได้ขวา ส่วนผู้ชายคนนี้นั่งอ่านหนังสืออิเลคโทรนิค (e-book) จากคินเดิ้ล (Kindle) ที่หน้าตาเหมือนอุปกรณ์ที่กัปตันเคิร์คใช้ในเรื่องสตาร์เทรค (Star Trek) เมื่อสมัยยุค1960s
ส่วนสาวในจอด้านซ้ายนั่นก็ทำท่าเท้าคางล้อกับหนุ่มคนนี้ เธอหน้าตาเหมือนจะเป็นฮอลโลแกรม (Hologram) ที่จะบีม (beam) ตัวเองออกมาจากจอได้ทุกเมื่อ
ยิ่งดูมันยิ่งทำให้คิดว่าเรากำลังใช้ชีิวิตอยู่ในโลกอนาคตที่เราเคยอ่านจากนิยายวิทยาศาสตร์ของไอแซค อซิมอฟซะจริงๆ^^
เอาไตเติ้ลของ Star Trek - Voyager มาแปะเพราะชอบตอนนี้ที่สุด ^^

Wow, the top picture has many stories krub. Good imagination krub especially linking Kindle to Star Trek's gadgets. A sci-fi fan, too krub?

ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about this for a while now. In fact, I think iPad is closer to the Star Trek gadget.
Also what is even more cool is if you think about it -- the "tablet", especially Kindle is also fashioned after that of the ancient Assyrian's.

ReplyDeleteAh, you are right. I recalled seeing the Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict TV series. I think the concept of gesture control was even at the time. I remember seeing a young pretty pilot fly an alien craft using hand gesture on a virtual control panel (projected in front of her) in the show. She was so skillful push, touch, drag etc. during the flight. That was cool to see then and now you see the gesture control on the iPad. In this case, iPhone (or other touch based smartphones) would be the communicator device.

Since we're talking techies -- another favorite movie of mine is Minority Report -- which portrays a lot of that.

ReplyDeleteAgreed. I like him in that one and Collateral. Personally, I think he should lay off the Mission Impossible franchise already... pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Ha ha.

ReplyDeleteIf one of these can be used to control TV, lights, garage door etc. things around the house. Imagine walking into your house (or even in a car), and do a gesture with your hand(s) to control things around you. That will be real cool (assuming they are affordable and not too cumbersome if wearing things is needed).

ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's possible now, maybe not gesture controlled, but perhaps voice or noise activated.
ReplyDeleteI've seen somewhat of a prototype at Walt Disney World. But I don't think it's not commercial viable yet. I'm sure we'll be there one day. Look at how small computer chips get over the years.
