Alone

From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

อีกฟากหนึ่งของเวิ้งฟ้ามีสิ่งใด
หรือเพียงเราเดียวดายกลางสายลม

นิทานก่อนนอนคืนฟ้าใส

คนดีหลับตาไว้แล้วจะเล่า
กาลครั้งหนึ่งยามรัตติกาลยังวัยเยาว์มีเพียงเจ้าหญิงพระจันทร์ในฟ้าไกล
เจ้าหญิงน้อยลอยล่องถามดาวน้อย
ดาวจ๋าช่วยบอกหน่อยจะได้ไหม
อีกฟากหนึ่งของเวิ้งฟ้ามีสิ่งใด
หรือเพียงเราเดียวดายกลางสายลม
ทูลเจ้าหญิงอีกฟากหนึ่งของเวิ้งฟ้า
คือเจ้าชายตะวันกล้าผู้งามสม
เจ้าชายผู้เอื้อเฟื้อน่าชื่นชม
หากไม่เชื่อตรัสถามลมให้ได้ความ
เจ้าหญิงน้อยรับรู้เรื่องเจ้าชาย
ที่มาจากสายลมตอบคำถาม
จึงหลงรักตะวันกล้าผู้รูปงาม
เฝ้าติดตามรักตะวันอยู่ร่ำไป
รักที่มีคงได้แต่ความเศร้า
ต้องเงียบเหงาเพราะไม่อาจพบกันได้เจ้าหญิงพระจันทร์ได้แต่ฝันอยู่ร่ำไป
จึงฝากลมไปกระซิบรักตะวัน
เพียงครวญคร่ำฝากลมไปไกลโพ้น
ให้ลมโยนลอยรักในห้วงฝัน
ไปถึงอีกเวิ้งฟ้าแห่งตะวัน
ให้รับรู้ว่ารักกันมากเพียงใด
หากเพียงเสี้ยวเวลาที่มาพบ
ยามใกล้พลบและใกล้รุ่งที่เห็นได้ยามตะวันใกล้ลาลับจับฟ้าไกล
และยามใกล้รุ่งอรุณแห่งทิวา
เวลาอันแสนมีค่าที่พบกัน
ให้เจ้าชายตะวันที่ฝันหา
มีโอกาสเห็นเจ้าหญิงแห่งจันทรา
เพียงไกลไกลก็มากค่าเกินสิ่งใด
ในยามนี้เจ้าชายตะวันกล้า
จึงทอแสงอบอุ่นมาแทนอยู่ใกล้ให้จันทร์น้อยอบอุ่นจากฟ้าไกล
แทนรักไว้แทนใจให้ใกล้กัน
